Our microporous products have high thermal stability, very low shrinkage at elevated temperatures and extremely low thermal conductivity values resulting in the most efficient insulation material available. These superior insulation products are ideally suited for applications where insulation space is limited but high thermal resistance is needed to reduce heat loss. They are perfect as back-up insulation behind refractory linings in tapping & transport ladles, holding/melting furnaces, and in sections of carbon bake furnaces or electrolytic reduction cells.
