Perforated ceiling panels are specially designed ceiling panels to allow optimum sound absorption on the ceiling surface to achieve the low room noise level. They are typically made of gypsum board or aluminum coated panels with different perforations rate and sizes to allow sound to pass through to an noise absorbent insulation materials. Perforated ceiling panels are commonly adopted in schools, theatre, offices and airports to control the echo of the enclosed space so as to provide a comfortable audio environment
Excellent sound absorption
ROCKWOOOL stone wool insulation laminated with fiber tissue facing is a specially designed product made of fibro-porous stone wool material with air-filled interconnected space to allow absorption of sound waves on adjacent surfaces. With adequate amount of perforation on the ceiling surface, Thermalrock80 can achieve up to NRC 1.0, Noise Absorption Co-efficient, tested to BS EN ISO 354:2003. This is equivalent to 100% absorption upon incident wave. Thermalrock S80 insulation is light weight and is compatible to all types of perforated panels.
